Benbrook Stairs were contacted by a client who was designing a in-house bar at their property In Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. They had an existing staircase with a old wooden spindled Balustrade but wanted to make the area look more modern and contemporary. Our in-house design team came up with a glass balustrade which was side fixed with a system called GALF’s these look like stainless steel buttons which are bolted into the original timber with the glass attached to give a seamless slick look.

Having a glass balustrade really changes the look and feel of a room and also allows light to shine through. The glass that Benbrook Stairs fitted was 17.5mm toughened laminated which meets current UK Building regs, the other glass that could have been used is 21.5mm toughened laminated but the customer decided on the 17.5mm glass.

As you can see the stairs look amazing and the client was very happy with the service they received they have even gone on to order 2 more Juliette balconies and using us for a staircase in their hallway.
